Baku/28.04.23/Turan: On April 28, 2023, at a joint press conference of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and France in Yerevan, Catherine Colonna made “groundless and unacceptable statements” about Azerbaijan’s aggression against Armenia, the statement of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry on Friday.
Since the 1980s, Armenia has been pursuing a policy of ethnic cleansing and occupation against Azerbaijan. The French mediators have never condemned Armenian occupation of Azerbaijan’s territory.
The Armenian side continues to engage in military and political provocation, despite not having withdrawn its entire armed force from Azerbaijani territory.
Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity is not threatened by attempts to prevent the establishment of a border crossing on Azerbaijani territory. The border checkpoint that regulates entry and exit is not a road closing.
The statement read: “Instead demonstrating a biased attitude, it would be better for the French side if they encouraged Armenia to fulfill the obligations that arise from the agreements and to refrain from provocation against Azerbaijan,”
At a press conference in Yerevan, the Colonna stated that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces violated the territorial integrity of Armenia by going deep into its territory, which is unacceptable. She said, “We can’t accept the unilateral actions that Baku is taking.” —02D—
