Baku/28.04.23/Turan “We want to begin negotiations between the representatives from Nagorno Karabakh, and the Azerbaijani government with the help of the international communities on the content and rights of the people. The conditions should be conducive to such negotiations. Catherine Colonna, the French Foreign minister, is currently in Armenia and stated this in an interview to “Armenpress”.
“France will support any solutions that ensure the Armenians of Nagorno Karabakh can continue to live in safety there, while preserving their history, heritage, and culture. “This is their inviolable rights,” she added.
Colonna reiterated Paris’ position that Baku should ensure the unobstructed movement of goods through the Lachin Corridor and that the International Court of Justice decision is binding.
The French Foreign Minister and the Chief Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces visited the site of the September 2022 Battles in Jermuk today.
Colonna has also become familiar with the EU Observer Mission’s activities along the Armenian/Azerbaijani border. -02D-
